REMARKS

BEAU GESTE is a very nice later-model example of the beautiful Little Harbor 60 series, first launched in 1994 as hull #9 of 12 built. She is uniquely designed to be easily sailed by one thanks to a cockpit layout that is superior to anything else in her class – all sail controls and winches are at the helm, with easy side exits to main deck without climbing over a high coaming – along with a long list of equipment for easy, safe extended cruising. And unlike most modern cruising yachts, she features finely crafted joiner work above and below decks with labor-intensive details seldom seen today.

With her low-wetted surface design, sea kindly hull form, deep efficient centerboard and powerful sail plan, BEAU GESTE is a dream to sail in all conditions. She can also cruise in shallow waters normally limited to much smaller yachts thanks to her draft of only 5’-4”, vastly increasing the possibilities for adventure and solitude.

With just her second owner, BEAU GESTE has been lavishly cared for with a long list of valuable upgrades for her next owner to proudly enjoy. Most recent upgrades include new sails, rod rigging, mast paint, all canvas, interior/exterior cushions and much more noted herein.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND LAYOUT

BEAU GESTE sleeps six in three private cabins, each with a private head and shower. The interior is all satin finished teak with solid trim and cabin doors and large veneered surfaces. Floorboards are gloss-finished teak and holly with locking lift handles. Hull ceilings are varnished teak, and custom tongue and groove overhead panels are all removable and secured by varnished teak trim with attractive faux deck beams in the salon. Bureau countertops are marble. There are lee cloths for most berths, custom bedding throughout and all new interior fabrics in 2025.

A large forepeak at the bow is well suited for storing gear such as sails, fenders, dock lines, and running rigging with a chain locker and divided space for secondary anchor rode. There is a workbench with vise and Craftsman tool drawers. This area can be accessed from a large deck hatch or through a door from the starboard guest head.

HULL AND DECK CONSTRUCTION

BEAU GESTE features a “pure centerboard” configuration for enhanced upwind performance with deep draft of 12’-3” (board down) and exceptional shoal draft of only 5’-4” (board up) to offer vastly expanded cruising grounds. The hull is molded in FRP from female molds with ¾” Airex foam core for added strength and sound/thermal insulation. Vinylester resins used on the exterior skins for the highest possible resistance to water osmosis. Molded-in water tanks, fuel tanks and centerboard trunk. Internal cast lead ballast with integral fiberglass floor beams. Balanced spade rudder and laminated centerboard to true NACA foil section with hoist cable to deck winch.

Hull is Awlgripped white with gold cove stripe, navy boot stripes and blue bottom. Painted rubrail with stainless steel striker.

The molded deck is constructed of FRP with Divinycell H-80 foam core for strength and stiffness. In areas where deck equipment is installed, core is replaced with Divinycell H-200 high-density foam. Outer skin is built to ¼” thickness, inner skin to 3/16”. Cockpit sides and coaming are solid fiberglass. All deck hatch landings are molded in FRP. Main decks, forward cabin top and cockpit sole are covered with laid teak decking. Deck is Awlgripped white (waterways repainted 2025) with white non-skid.
